Abstract

The article discusses the relationship of linguistic derivation and transposition. The semantic methods related to the discussion of word formation and semantic shift are studied. In addition, this phenomenon is referred to as semantic derivation in derivational studies. The article looks through the studies and ideas connected to the general essence of linguistic derivation. It is explained the relationship between transposition and language-specific derivation.
