Abstract

Teaching is a challenging career to pursue since it needs a great deal of dedication as well as physical, emotional, and mental fortitude. Teachers must not only meet their fundamental responsibilities in the classroom, but they must also do other non-essential tasks in order to produce successful students. The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship of self-efficacy, burnout and job satisfaction among school teachers in Selangor. There are 3 instruments used to study the variables which are Teacher Sense of Efficacy Scale (TSES), Maslach Burnout Inventory-Educators Survey (MBI- ES) and Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ). There are 380 public school teachers participated in this study. The study shows that self-efficacy has positive relationship with job satisfaction while burnout has negatively relationship with job satisfaction. The results of this research can be used as a guideline when there is a need to study self-efficacy, burnout and job satisfaction level especially among teachers.
